I am known in my circle for asking annoying questions that make you think. Until someone convinces me to stop, I will continue. Through the answers, I have learned so much about the people in my life and how they see the world. It’s been eye-opening. It has also helped me build deeper bonds.

I have learned that people can feel lonely even when they are constantly surrounded by a crowd. There may be plenty of conversation, but how often does their real voice get to come out especially in a crowd?

That’s what a thoughtful question can do. It can give someone the space to share a part of themselves that rarely comes up in everyday conversations. To feel seen, heard, and valued.

So, I want you to try answering these questions that I have asked different people over the last month or so. Find a quiet spot. Set a timer for 10–15 minutes if you are a super busy person. Print the questions or just make the effort to stay focused. Close your social media apps and try to answer them.

I would love to know your answers if you are willing to share them! No, truly. I mean it. I have the time for it. So please reach out, and let’s discuss your answers.

  1. What are your top five values that you will stick by, no matter what?

  2. If you had one word to describe your life from today until the end of it, what would that word be?

  3. Do you consider yourself a creative person? Why or why not?

  4. Can love and fear coexist?

  5. Lately, who is making you smile the most?

  6. Despite making so much progress in your field, what inside you pushes you to be so kind to beginners? Where do this patience and love come from? This question actually made the person emotional. 😊

  7. Do you have someone in your life right now with whom you can just be? As your rawest self?

  8. What is the best part of being “[name of the person]”?

  9. Your life already seems complete. What value could a partner add to your life? What characteristics would you want them to have or develop?

  10. If you could eat only one dish for the rest of your life, which dish would you choose?

  11. Do you think soft people are weak?

  12. What is your favorite place you have visited recently, and why?

As a coach, asking questions is a big part of my work. So is noticing where an answer needs another question. There is often more to explore beyond the first response.

So, if you are interested in exploring a deeper version of yourself, send me a DM and let’s catch up over a virtual cup of coffee. You might be surprised by what you learn about yourself.
